About the Bsharri Community Centre
The current community centre was purchased in 1996, after which the community house in Lewisham was sold. The ground floor is a pub which the Association has leased and the first floor is the community hall. The hall was used by the community for festive functions, gatherings and wakes. However, by 2006, it was becoming somewhat too decrepit. It was decided to undertake a major renovations for the hall. The current renovations began in 2009 and the aim is to complete them by mid-next, when it will become available for hire.
